Dr Panayotis PAPADIMITRIOU

Associate Professor in Seismology

Dr. P. Papadimitriou was born on January 21st, 1954 in Greece. He obtained the B.Sc. in Physics (Maitrise de Physique) in Paris, 1982, the M.Sc. (DEA) in Geophysics-Geochemistry in Paris, 1983 and PhD (Doctorat) in Seismology in Paris, 1988. He is currently Associate professor in Seismology in the Department of Geophysics of the University of Athens. He is in charge of the permanent telemetric seismological network of the Department of Geophysics. He has acted as a Guest Editor in the special issue "Structure of the Lithosphere, Geodynamic Process and Anisotropy" of the PEPI journal (1999).

He has actively participated in the following E.U. financed projects:
